After reading what Xiaxue has posted "The Big Gushcloud Exposé". It makes me wonder of all the Instagram  "non-ad" posts that i have came across, are those really their personal opinions or the company asked them to write like that?

(For example of a non-ad post: Hey guys, i just gotten my cover from @xxxxxxx, you guys should really checked them out as their service is fantastic.......) Even though they did not specifically say that is an sponsored post, yet they still get paid for posting that. In other words, they masked the ads.

  • Firstly, You cannot blame the influencer/bloggers for doing what they are told to do.
  • Secondly, you cannot blame the company that the influencer/bloggers worked for too.
I believe the main culprits for all these problem are their clients, as they are likely to be the one requesting them to post.

As a consumer, I would want honest opinions from your buyers. If you hire someone to help you promote your products and said that is their own opinion, you are lying.

Correct me if i am wrong on this part: If you decide to approach one of the company to help you promote your products, there will always be some conditions. Most likely you will ask those bloggers or influencers to draft you a copy of what they are going to post, so that you can check on what they are saying about your product. How is this not lying to us? lol.
If you are someone that hires me to post something about your products, do you think i will write something nasty about it even though it is really bad? how is that their own opinion?

The main concern is not whether Gushcloud is the one at fault or Xiaxue is lying and trying to reap the benefit by hurting Gushcloud. The main concern is that as a consumer, i have lost my faith in whatever products that the bloggers or influencers have posted when they say this is not an advertisement, as they just want to share it because they personally find this xxxx product must buy! Which is actually not true.

What will happen to the marketing world in the future? i have no idea...  #NoFaithinfutureMarketing

  1. Never ever believed in fellow bloggers' rave. Not everyone will state it's a sponsored post, and especially for IG/FB shout outs... It's weird/hard to squeeze a sponsored tag inside too, isn't that so? Blog posts, still relatively easy to state if its sponsored.
